For most of the international students, academic achievement is very important to them because of high tuition fees and family pressure. Many students spend most of their time on learning, neglecting sleep and exercise. However, not all foreign students know how to debug the inner pressure. In February of this year, a case of suicide of WEIWEI, a Chinese student at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), forced us to reflect on the psychological pressure and affordability of students and the ways in which they need to be adjusted.


According to 2016 data, one in five students in Canada have mild anxiety and autism. Thirteen percent of them admitted that they had thought about suicide in the past, up 3.5 percentage points from the 2013 statistics. At the same time, the lack of sleep and exercise made the situation worse for all. Of these, 22% of students go to the gym three times a week for at least 20 minutes each. And 28.4% of students said they have a sleep disorder. Under great pressure, and the lack of exercise and sleep, very few students can really be successful.


Exercise and rest are especially important for students

Ironically, the study found that adequate sleep and exercise improve students' mental status and achievement. At the same time, the study found that exercise training can improve one's memory ability, concentration time and creativity.
