Canadian immigration law is enacted by the federal government and provincial governments. In addition to the federal government's own immigration program, almost every province in Canada has its own immigration program or is called “provincial nomination”. Ontario is Canada's largest province with a population that accounts for almost 40% of Canada's population and one of the largest immigrant categories.

1. A comprehensive introduction to the types of immigrants in Ontario, Canada

There are three main categories of Ontario nominated immigrants, and each category contains several smaller categories:

First, the employer guarantee category Employer Job Offer:

Foreign worker

2. International students International Students

3. Shortage of careers In-demand Skills

Second, the human capital category Human Capital:

International student category:

1. Master's category Masters Graduates

2. PhD category PhD graduates

Ontario Expressway Ontario Express Entry

   3. Ontario Human Capital Priority Category Ontario Human Capital Priorities

   4. Ontario French Skilled Migrant Category Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker

   5. Ontario Skilled Trades Program

Third, the business immigration category Business category

Entrepreneur immigration Entrepreneur stream:

Below we provide a comprehensive introduction to the conditions and populations required for each major category:

First. Employer Guarantee Category Employer Job Offer

All employers in this category are required to meet the following conditions:

1. Must have at least 3 years of commercial activity;

2. At least 1 million Canadian dollars in turnover in the most recent financial year (mostly GTA regions) / or 500,000 Canadian dollars (mostly outside the GTA);

3. Have at least 5 full-time employees (GTA regions) / or 3 full-time employees (outside the GTA);

Job Offer requirements provided by employers in this category:

1. Must be a long-term full-time position (Permanent and full-time)

2. Job Offer needs to be: foreign workers and international students, positions must be NOC0, A, B; shortage of occupational categories, specific agricultural and construction industry NOC C, D can also work;

3. Meet Ontario's wage requirements;

4. The position is necessary for the operation of the company;

Note: If the applicant is currently living overseas, or holds a visitor visa, or works in another province, the employer needs to advertise a job to prove the recruitment effort;

1. Employer sponsored foreign worker category

Applicants need to first obtain a Job Offer from an Ontario employer:

1. Full-time long-term Job offer, positions in NOC0, A, B;

2. Meet the Prevailing salary (medium salary);

And the applicant needs:

1. At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the past 5 years; work experience can be accumulated, but it needs to be consistent with the Job Offer position provided by the Ontario employer;

2. If the occupation is a regulated industry in Ontario, a corresponding qualification certificate is required;

3. You can live abroad when you apply, but if you are in Canada, you need a valid work permit, student visa or tourist visa;

CIIS comment: This category is mainly for overseas applicants. It requires 2 years of relevant work experience, but there is no specific requirement for academic qualifications; it belongs to the traditional provincial nomination category and does not participate in the scoring. The qualification of the employer, the position provided and the past experience of the applicant are more important;

2. Employer Guarantee International Student Category

Applicants need to first obtain a Job Offer from an Ontario employer:

1. Full-time long-term Job offer, positions in NOC0, A, B;

2. Meet the EntryLevel salary (entry salary);

Applicants need to:

1. Graduated from a regular college or university in Canada with a certificate or diploma. The academic system must be two years or more (if the graduate diploma is a one-year program);

2. Half of the study is done in Canada;

3. A long-term full-time employer appointment must be obtained from the employer, and the position must be in the Canadian National Occupational Code (NOC) category 0, A, B;

4. The application must be submitted within 2 years of graduation;

CIIS comment: This category is mainly for international students who complete their studies in Canada. Please note that this qualification is not required to be completed in Ontario. The past work experience of the applicant in this category is not required; in addition, the Job offer can be used for entry wages. If the international student is working for the employer, the employer does not need to hire another job advertisement; although the category does not require any work experience; Special industry/occupation, Canadian immigrants suggest that it would be more reasonable for an applicant to submit an application for at least a few months after the employer has worked;

Second, the human capital category Human Capital:

1. Master's category Masters Graduates - The project is currently temporarily closed.

Applicants need to:

1. Education: Graduated from a qualified Ontario University (full-time, one year or more);

2. Language: CLB7 (English or French), if English is equivalent to IELTS (Class G), 6 points minimum;

3. Residence: living in Ontario for at least 1 year in the past 2 years;

4. There is a certain amount of money to settle down (about 12,000 Canadian dollars for one person)

5. Intention: Inland is the intention to live;

6. Place of residence at the time of application: must reside in Ontario, have legal status, or live outside the country. If you live in Canada but outside of Ontario, it does not meet the requirements of the project;

7 aging: 2 years after the issuance of the master's degree;

Canadian immigrants comment: The biggest advantage of this category is that you can apply without work experience, but only for graduate students from Ontario (not counting in other provinces), and must submit an application within 2 years of graduation. This category adopts a policy of regular opening and closing. After reopening, the master's category is fully filled in about half an hour. Therefore, applicants who are interested must make preparations in advance to avoid missing the opportunity. Every time the Canadian immigrants reopen, they will win the quota for all the customers who have signed up. The project is currently temporarily closed.

2. PhD category PhD graduates

Applicants need to:

1. Education: At least two years of study at a qualified institution in Ontario (or a graduation qualification);

2. Intention: Living and working in Ontario;

3. Timeliness: The application must be submitted within 2 years of graduation;

4. Legal status in Canada (if applicable): You can apply abroad at the time of application, but you must have a legal status in the country;

Note: In the case of an international student who has received a subsidy or a national scholarship to return to the country, the obligation is required to complete the obligation to apply for the project;

CIIS comment: This project only requires the applicant to be a Ph.D. in Ontario. There is no requirement for the applicant's language, work experience and settlement funds. It is obvious that the Ontario government is very eager to attract more highly educated people to settle in Ontario.

Some of the most common occupations include bakers, telecommunication technicians, cable television services and maintenance technicians, such as cable television service and maintenance technicians. There is no requirement for academic qualifications. IELTS only requires about 5 points, corresponding to one year in Ontario. Work experience. This category is a good choice for applicants who have graduated from a 2-year college and are unlikely to be invited in the federal EE system (only for applicants in the above designated industries). This category is currently open, meaning that Ontario regularly selects eligible applicants from the federal EE system.
