It can be seen that economic immigrants occupy a dominant position and are the mainstay of Canadian permanent resident growth each year. Among them, federal skilled immigrants, Canadian experience immigrants and provincial nominated immigrants account for the most (note: provincial nominated projects contain different types, such as Skilled workers under provincial nomination program, entrepreneur or investor immigration under provincial nomination programs; family sponsorship immigration has also risen steadily; refugee immigrants have shown a significant growth trend since 2016. We will wait and see the immigration quota for 2020.
