Since 2019, there have been three invitations to the Ontario ’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream.

Here are a few examples for you to see how you can achieve more than 410 points:

 

Under 30 years of age, single, graduating with a two-year Ontario diploma, IELTS 7 7 7 7, one year of relevant work experience, CRS 399

Under 30 years of age, single, graduating with a two-year Ontario diploma, IELTS four 6.5, two years relevant work experience, CRS 400

Under 30 years of age, single, graduating with a two-year Ontario diploma, IELTS 7 7 7 7, two years of relevant work experience, CRS 424

 

Specific requirements for Ontario ’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream:

 

To apply for this category, the following conditions must be met:

1. Work experience: Have at least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) Ontario work experience within 2 years of receiving the Ontario Notice of Intent. Work experience must be a skilled occupation in the categories NOC 633, NOC 72, NOC 73, NOC 82 (all of them B).

2. Occupational certification (if required): If the profession requires certification in Ontario, a qualification from the Ontario College of Trades is required. It should be noted that many occupations in Ontario do not require compulsory certification; for example, our previous successful Baker, cable technician, etc. did not require qualification certificates;

3. Residing in Ontario: Applicants must hold a valid work permit and be residing in Ontario.

4. Language requirements: English or French must reach CLB 5 level, that is, IELTS listening 5 points, reading 4 points, writing 5 points, and speaking 5 points.

5. Resettlement costs: The deposit or income must meet the minimum requirements to support the applicant and accompanying family members.

6. Intention to live: indicate intention to settle in Ontario


Jobs in Ontario ’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream:

· NOC 6331: Butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers – retail and wholesale. Related positions are: retail butcher, retail meat cutter, supermarket butcher, supermarket meat cutter, fishmonger-retail, fishmonger-wholesale, etc.

· NOC 6332: Baker. Related positions include: baker, cake decorator, donut maker, grocery store baker, pastry maker, muffin maker, bread maker, etc.

· NOC 72: industrial, power and construction industries. Related positions are: power electrician, Cable television service and maintenance technicians, plumber, painter, tool maker, etc.

· NOC 73: Maintenance and equipment operation industry. Related positions include: automotive service technician, commercial press operator, heating and cooling mechanic, central air-conditioning mechanic, etc.

· NOC 82: Supervisor and technical positions in natural resources, agriculture and related industries. Related positions include: electric line operator, fisherman / woman, tree service contractor, etc.
