Program Description:
The film industry is the place where anything is possible. Where your imagination comes to life. Where you can inspire others with your ideas, or help other filmmakers succeed.
If filmmaking is your passion, Fanshawe's Advanced Filmmaking program will build on many of your previous diploma/degree skills and talents. You'll be able to experience the art of making narrative and documentary films, exploring the world of television and other media sources. You'll hone your editing, directing, producing, and marketing skills. You'll work alongside a diverse production team of classmates who will share common goals, while accessing the insider knowledge of Oscar-caliber guest lecturers.
Advantages:
The Advanced Filmmaking program is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate program which builds upon the students’ previous diploma/degree skills by providing opportunities to work in cross-functional teams to create both narrative and documentary films, television productions, and other media. All phases of digital filmmaking will be experienced, including pre-production, production, and post-production. Students will collaborate with students in other college programs (television, acting, fashion, multimedia, music industry arts) in the creation of digital media products.

An equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the College

A combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the College to be equivalent to the above

Career：
Graduates of this program may go on to become an independent filmmaker, media content creator, director or producer, or work as a freelance crewmember in many of the fields that exist within the film and television industries.
