Program Description:

What will a co-op endorsed Fanshawe Business - Insurance diploma do for you? Provide insurance, of course. Insurance that guarantees your experience in the classroom meets the real world. That your in-demand skills meet the high-demand insurance sector. That your journey toward professional security is nurtured by industry professionals.

To get you there, you'll attend industry events and conferences offered by the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario and the Independent Adjusters Association. You'll mingle with future colleagues, forming alliances and bonds with those who, like you, understand the world of risk and protection. You'll continuously grow your skill-set, adapting to the changing, high-risk world, helping your clients along the way.

You'll be taught and mentored by industry professionals, examining automobile, property and liability insurance, as well as fraud awareness and prevention. You'll study forms of general insurance, underwriting, claims investigation, risk analysis and contracts. And you may be able to complete eight of ten credits towards your Chartered Insurance Professionals (CIP) designation offered by the Insurance Institute of Canada. You'll adjust your courses to areas you're passionate about. You'll target your energies into the diversity of the industry, adapting and evolving along the way.
