Program Description:
Build on your Business-Human Resources Diploma with the Fanshawe Business Administration-Human Resources Advanced Diploma program and you'll graduate with all the tools, skills and experience necessary to immediately impact the human resources world. You'll enter the workforce ready to contribute, and implement your ideas in all of the key human resources competencies including recruitment and selection, occupational health and safety and labour relations. Available in a traditional in-class format with September admission.
You can apply for the opportunity to further develop your human resources consulting skills, with the option of substituting two courses for the intensive community consultancy program, working with real business live clients.
There are options to transfer to the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) degree at Fanshawe. Further details about pathways are available here. Advantages:
Business Administration - Accounting is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program (laptop required). Building on the Business - Accounting diploma, the program curriculum covers advanced topics in accounting with courses in auditing, corporate finance, cost and managerial accounting, and strategic policy and planning. The program is mapped to the CPA's Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF). Upon graduation from the diploma, students will have transferrable credits for the ACAF. A case-based approach is used across the curriculum to expose students to real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking skills. Many employment opportunities are available in industry, public accounting, and government where graduates will work in a variety of roles.
Admission Requirement:
Business - Human Resources Ontario College Diploma from Fanshawe College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA)
OR
An equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA)
OR
A combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the College to be equivalent to the above

Career:
Graduates of the Business Administration - Human Resources program are prepared to enter the human resources field in all sectors (e.g., manufacturing, health care, education, government). Graduates are suited to a variety of junior-level and intermediate-level positions, including HR generalist, HR consultant, labour relations officer, employment equity officer, Human Resources Information System (HRIS) administrator, pension and benefits administrator, payroll administrator, recruiter and training and development administration.
