Program Description:
One of the most important questions to ask about a home is how safe will people be if a fire breaks out? After completing the Fire Safety Systems certificate program, you can be one of the people who will ensure that others are properly protected in the event of a fire.
As a student, you'll be given training in the skills required to perform a variety of technical functions including the assessing and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler problems. Additionally, you'll learn the ins and outs of the codes, legislations, and standards that protect homeowners.
Also, you'll be provided with the hands-on experience to make sure that those homeowners have fire detection devices that are properly installed. The Applied Fire Safety Practices course will give you an opportunity to demonstrate the skills you've learned in a workplace environment. The Fire Safety Program can prepare you for a career as a Fire Alarm Technician, Fire Systems Specialist, or Field technical report worker for a school, hospital, contractor, or more.
