Program Description:
As a student in Broadcasting - Radio, you'll gain pre-professional training in radio production and presentation skills necessary for a career as a radio announcer, radio station disc jockey, music programmer, radio scriptwriter or radio broadcaster.
You'll acquire a high degree of competency that will enable you to begin your career within the broadcast industry. Your studies will focus on fundamental skills in on-air presentation, script writing and audio production necessary to create and produce effective radio programming. You are best suited for this program if you are interested in radio broadcasting in the context of radio stations.
Admission Requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with:
Grade 12 English: ENG4(C) or ENG4(U)
OR Mature Student Status (age 19 or older) with the above prerequisite course(s), their equivalent(s) or appropriate Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) Certificate program credits

Launch your career in radio. Graduates from our Broadcasting – Radio (RTVR) program pursue careers in radio stations as radio show hosts, producers, scriptwriters, or sales and promotions staff. With your RTVR diploma, you'll also find opportunities in audio production houses, training departments of companies, corporations, school boards, fire and police departments, or government.
