Program Description:

 

The Computer Systems Technician program is a stable platform for your career development in the IT industry. In the program, students cover all four courses of the official Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching curriculum. In addition to CCNA, students will also be prepared to write other industry certification exams that are in-demand by employers.

Admission Requirement:

Applicants are selected on the basis of their academic achievement, including the required courses, and any other selection criteria outlined below.

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma      or equivalent**

  • Grade 12 English (C or U)

  • Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12      (C or U)

** Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and no OSSD)

Credits Transfer

Graduates may continue directly into the third year of the Computer Systems Technology Program ( T147) , and earn an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in two additional semesters.

Students who successfully complete this program may qualify for entry into university degree programs. This includes credit towards the Athabasca University BSc-CIS (PD).
