Program Description:
Seneca's Honours Bachelor of Commerce - Human Resources Strategy and Technology program is more than the traditional HR management degree. In addition to the traditional HR courses, you'll gain the management, strategic and technological skills demanded by industry. This program is designed to synthesize theory with practice, thereby allowing you to develop in-depth knowledge and critical skills in Human Resources, Business and Technology including HRIMS/SAP, data mining and metrics. The co-op work term will enable you to build a professional network ahead of graduation.

Admission Requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including six Grade 12 (U) or (M) courses with a minimum overall average of 65%, or a mature applicant (21 years or older and has been out of high school for a minimum of two years). Mature applicants should disclose all previous postsecondary transcripts which may be used for admission decisions.
Required courses - minimum final grade of 65% in each:
· English: Grade 12 ENG 4 (U)
· Mathematics: any Grade 12 (U)
Applicants must meet Seneca English Proficiency requirements for degree programs.

In today's competitive environment, there is a high demand for individuals who can manage a company's most important asset: their people. Human resources is taking an increasingly important role as organizations deal with changing demographics, including an increased number of retirements. In light of this, there is an increasing demand for qualified human resources professionals. As a graduate of this program, you will be able to adapt to the changing responsibilities of Human Resources professionals and will work in positions such as HR Administrator, HR Business Partner, HR Specialist, HR Consultant, Recruiter, Trainer or Compensation Analyst. In addition, you will have the required knowledge to pursue several key industry designations including the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation through the Human Resources Professionals Association and the Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate through Microsoft.
