Program description:

Since 2016, this new interdisciplinary program has offered students training in the underlying scientific principles and theory pertaining to the physical, chemical and biological properties of water. There is a focus on how these scientific principles can be applied to improve the management and conservation of water and land resources.

Through a combination of training and practical work experience, you will be able to identify and solve ongoing threats to our water resources including those caused by human activities and climate change. You will be able to recognize that the availability of safe, clean water and its resources is a fundamental question of social justice.

 

Advantages:

·         Students looking for work-related experience in the water sciences may also qualify to participate in co-op, which will include two eight-month work placements in the water sector after year three.

·         You will have opportunities to strengthen communication skills through a combination of extensive fieldwork, excursions and lecture/laboratory experiences.

 

Admission Requirement:

·         Admission range of mid 70s.

·         English at 60%.

·         Advanced Functions, Biology and Chemistry each at 70%.

·         All prerequisite courses calculated in admission average.

Tuition Fees:

The Tuition fee in WLU depends on the credits students will choose and Students will be responsible for all fees assessed on their statement of billings.
