Program description:
Our Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science will help you develop strong algorithm analysis and design skills in procedural, object-oriented and low-level languages, with an optional introduction to functional, parallel, and logical paradigms. We know hands-on experience is key to your understanding of computing fundamentals, so you’ll spend lots of time in the lab.
In senior years, you will select courses in application areas ranging from internet computing to writing apps for mobile computing, from applied cryptography to quantum computing. In addition, you’ll gain necessary experience in group work, project administration and time management.
Advantages:
· You can apply for the Professional Experience Program, which consists of a 12- to 16-month work term between your third and fourth years. Sample jobs include technical support analyst and product support analyst.
· The iPhone Application Programming course ends with the presentation of apps to judges including representatives from Apple, the awarding of prizes, and the opportunity to meet representatives from local startups.
· You will have opportunities to get involved in faculty research projects, whether for course credit or pay.
· Take this program in combination with Mathematics and gain useful skills in scientific and financial computing, which can be used in areas such as pharmaceutical design, image processing, financial analysis and genomics.
Admission Requirement:
· Admission range of mid 70s
· English at 60%.
· Advanced Functions at 60%.
· One of: Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry or Physics at 60%.
· Computer Science and Mathematics requires English, Advanced Functions, and Calculus and Vectors at 60%, and one of: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at 60%.
· Computer Science and Psychology requires English and Advanced Functions at 60%, and one of: Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology at 60%.
· All prerequisite courses calculated in admission average.

Tuition Fees:
The Tuition fee in WLU depends on the credits students will choose and Students will be responsible for all fees assessed on their statement of billings.
