Program description:

Laurier's Bachelor of Education program is highly progressive and future-oriented. Our courses blend 21st-century skills and global perspectives with a focus on the diverse needs of children and youth in today's schools. The integration of varied technologies within course content enables our Teacher Education Candidates to select and use their perfect tool for learning. Indigenous content and ways of knowing pervase all of our courses, and teacher candidates may choose to pursue certificates in the Arts, Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or in Glocal (Global and Local) Social and Environmental Justice perspectives. Finally, all of this comes to life in 40 weeks of practical experience in classrooms or other learning contexts.

The Faculty of Education at Wilfrid Laurier University is committed to utilizing and researching collective and inclusive approaches that address the complex challenges associated with teaching and learning. We actively build authentic and meaningful connections, collaborations and partnerships with our students and our community.
