Program description:

We offer students a chance to explore language and narrative in print and electronic media. Our engaging and vibrant program allows you to develop your critical reading, as well as your analytical and writing skills, in preparation for working in a globally connected world where your abilities to communicate effectively are key to your professional success.

Our innovative classroom experiences emphasize active learning and students engage critically with literary and film texts drawn from the breadth of English-speaking cultures.

·           The program will ground you in English literature while introducing you to emerging and experimental texts and critical approaches.

·           English courses offer exciting ways to explore media and culture, along with history and theory.

·           Many of our courses integrate an experiential component so you can apply your learning outside the classroom.

·           Our program is home to the popular course EN190: Introduction to Academic Writing.

·           We offer classes in creative writing taught by award-winning writers of fiction and poetry.

·           Our fourth-year courses in specialized topics provide a small-class experience in which you can develop your leadership and research skills with other graduating students.

·           We offer new minors in Writing for Career and Community and Youth and Children: Texts and Cultures.

·           Admission range of mid 70s.

·           English at 60%.

Tuition Fees:

The Tuition fee in WLU depends on the credits students will choose and Students will be responsible for all fees assessed on their statement of billings.
