Program Description:

Enjoy working with your hands? Think you have what it takes to work with complex electrical equipment and be relied upon to take care of buildings and businesses? If so, check out Fanshawe's Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship and get going on the path to an exciting and rewarding career.

As an industrial electrician, you'll install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and electronic controls. This includes everything from light fixtures to electrical motors, transformers and generators. We know that to master a trade you need the tools to do so, and that's why Fanshawe's classrooms and labs will give you the understanding of new technology that will affect your day-to-day tasks. You'll have to put your mind to work to solve problems, troubleshoot, calculate measurements, loads and angles and master theories.

After you complete the program and required on-the-job hours, you'll be more than prepared to write your trade exam and achieve journeyperson status on your way to starting a career as an industrial electrician.
