Program Description:
The two-semester Bookkeeping program at Centennial College allows you to earn a certificate that serves as a pathway to the Certified Bookkeeper designation with the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB). Membership in the CIB opens the door to a variety of positions, including bookkeeper, accounts receivable/payable supervisor, payroll administrator and office manager.
Advantages:
Many Bookkeeping classes are taught in a lab environment that is fully equipped with an integrated network of computer systems, allowing for practical and hands-on experience.
Courses are qualified for exemptions with the CIB.
The program takes place over a short, intensive eight months.
In addition to Bookkeeping course topics, you receive an overview of other business functions in an organization, allowing you to acquire effective business communication skills.
Knowledgeable and approachable faculty members have industry experience.
Admission Requirement:
Applicants are selected on the basis of their academic achievement, including the required courses, and any other selection criteria outlined below.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take the Centennial College English Skills Assessment for Admission
Mathematics Grade 11 or 12 C, M or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or take a Centennial College Math Skills Assessment for Admission
