Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines and is considered a cornerstone for any Engineering Faculty. It’s a multidimensional discipline and includes exploring new sources of renewable energy, developing new tools for medical diagnostics and devising ways to create a cleaner and healthier environment. Mechanical engineers have a broad range of technical skills, making professionals in this field equipped with the knowledge to complete any task.
What You’ll Learn
You will start with learning the fundamental knowledge that serves as the foundation for mechanical engineering.
After first year, you will have the chance to focus in and explore what you are most passionate about – Mechanism Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Systems, Fluid Dynamics, Solid Mechanics and CAD (computer-aided design).
Aside from all the technical know-how, you will pick up some great soft skills – effective communication, project management, law, public policy and leadership.
After second year you can also take part in the co-op program, which will be an early start when it comes to finding your dream job.
