About EE

The Canadian Immigration Bureau CIC released the ExpressEntry Fast Track scoring rules on December 1, 2014, called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), also known as EE screening, establishing an EE talent pool, and screening with reference to the score sheet. Invitation to Apply (ITA) based on the applicant's CRS score. The applicant can only submit an immigrant visa application after receiving the invitation.

The system is suitable for the following projects: Federal Skilled Migration, Federal Skilled Migrants, Canadian Experienced Immigrants, and Provincial Nominated Skilled Immigrants. The system was launched at 12 noon on January 1, 2015 in Canada. The screening pool is ready to enter at any time. There is no limit on the number of people. Each invitation is selected according to the selection, and it has nothing to do with the time of entering the pool. Screening is performed at an appropriate frequency each year, and the current frequency is usually two weeks.

The basic threshold for entering EE

1. Skilled immigrants (FSW): IELTS 4-6, 67 points, at least 0, A, B professional work experience;

2. Skilled Immigrants (FST): I heard that 5, read 3.5, write 4, 1 year of employer offer or hold a certificate of vocational mechanics from the Canadian provincial government, and 2 years of FST mechanic experience in the past 5 years;

3. Experienced Immigrants (CEC): 1 year of Canadian 0, A, B professional work experience in the past 3 years, Class B professional IELTS 4 other 5, 0, A class 4 4 (CLB7).

EE operation steps

1. Enter the EE application pool

Not all applicants can enter the EE system. Only applicants who meet the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), or the Federal Skilled Trades (FST) can enter the EE; therefore, Anyone wishing to pass EE immigration must first meet the above basic EE threshold: there are two points worth noting. First, CEC and FST do not need to score through the self-assessment form. They can submit EE directly and wait for the invitation of the Federal Immigration Service. Second, applicants who meet the above criteria can be directly nominated for a provincial nomination (PNP) before being invited.

2. Create an account and wait for an invitation

After the applicant meets one of the above three categories, you can enter your information into the MyCIC account, ie, “into the pool”, submit the EE online, register the Job Bank, and wait for the invitation of the immigration office.

3. Apply for an employer offer or provincial nomination (not required)

If the score is low, the applicant may consider the provincial nominee (PNP) under the Canadian employer offer or EE plus 600 points such as the provincial nomination EE project, etc. Once the applicant receives this bonus, it will basically be collected in about one month. EE invitation to the Federal Immigration Service.

4. Immigration Department issues invitation

When the immigration invitation score exceeds the applicant's score, the applicant can obtain the Immigration Immigration Invitation (Invitation to Apply, ITA).

5. The applicant submits a formal immigration application

Once the applicant has obtained the ITA from the Immigration Bureau, the official immigration application can be submitted.

 EE score report

Since the implementation of the system in 2015, the Immigration Bureau will issue invitations based on the applicant's scores in the EE pool on a regular basis according to the annual immigration quota. Then we compare the EE lottery scores in the first half of 15, 16, 17 and 18 years. Figure

Xiao Bian's comments: 2017 is undoubtedly the welfare year for international students who graduated, especially the low scores of around 410-420 from April to May, which led to many graduates who have graduated for one year and have the opportunity to be drawn. The scores for 15 and 16 years are basically for a university graduate, and it is difficult for international students who have worked in Canada for one year (unless English is super good). The 17-year-old score is also due to the new immigration of Canada’s “Canada Study Abroad Plus (15/30 points)” and “Lower LMIA Bonus (from 600 to 200/50)”. They stand out among many immigrant applicants.

However, in contrast to the lottery scores from 2018 to July, Xiao Bian can't help but regret for the international students. The difference between 440 points and last year's lowest score is 30 points, and these 30 points can not be easily obtained.

Or madly attack English, improve IELTS scores; or work for another year if the time limit is allowed to work again; or go to school for more than one year of certificate/diploma. But the latter two will only get this bonus after at least 1 year, and the 19-year draw score is now unpredictable.

 EE score chart

The small stayers waiting in the pool are sure to know if they have hopes to be drawn in 2018, then the Canadian immigrants will analyze the current situation in the current EE pool and the scores for the next year. Trend:

According to the 2018 Immigration quota, Federal High Skilled is defined as

Then we can conclude that the EE system will distribute a total of about 75,000 invitations in 2018, and as of now the EE system has sent 43200 invitations. Dividing the remaining quota by the 11 draws expected from the end of July to the end of December, 2890 copies can be allocated for each draw.

The EE lottery score depends on the number of people in the pool and the number of invitations each time. To put it simply, if the number of people entering the pool is equal, the higher the number of invitations, the lower the score. However, looking back at the number of invitations issued each time this year, they are all maintained at 3000-3500, so if you reduce from now on to 2890 copies per invitation, the score will undoubtedly rise.

On the other hand, the number of daily pools just mentioned, and the efficiency of the applicant's score after the pool is also an important factor affecting the overall score.

Let's take a look at the distribution of the EE pool as of July 2018:

On July 5, 2018, the number of applicants with 441 points or more in the EE pool was 2,702, but on July 11, the Immigration Bureau conducted a lottery, and 3,750 invitations were distributed, with a minimum score of 442 points. This is enough to show that in just five days, about 1,000 people have increased their scores from less than 441 to 442 points or more through their various efforts.

Therefore, the Canadian immigrants concluded that in the second half of 2018, if the immigration bureau did not issue any policy to modify the score, and the immigration bureau will follow the quota rules for each immigration project, then the lottery score will continue to maintain above 440 points. It is hard to happen again if it falls below 420 points last year.

 How to improve your EE score

First, let's look at a few case studies (mainly different in English and work experience time). Let's experience the dilemma of the 2-year college/4 year college diploma in the EE system:

2 years of Canadian college graduate:

4 years Canadian University Graduate / Chinese University + Canadian College:

Method 1: Improve language scores

The EE system scores individual language scores instead of total scores. It is said that the four individual items correspond to different CLB Levels, resulting in different EE scores. It should be noted that the score of this score is 24 points and the score of the single score is 6 points. That is to say, if you want to get a full score in this part, you must hear and read the single item and get the perfect score. As long as IELTS Listening 8, reading, writing, speaking 7, EE scores are very high. It is also worth noting that even if the single item does not get the full score, the increase of the EE score will be very obvious for each 0.5 increase in the individual item. Therefore, if you want to improve the EE score in a short time, you can choose your own single score with confidence!

Method 2: Increase overseas work experience

Many students finally got the work permit, and worked hard until the work permit expired. The result was still not waiting for the EE to drop points. Colleagues and friends are also reluctant to return to Canada in Canada, and apply for a tourist visa to wait in the territory. However, Canadian immigrants advise you to return to the country to work, and get overseas work experience as soon as possible is a more effective way to raise points. Because of the combination of overseas work experience and Canadian work experience or English, there will be different cross-scores and scores. Therefore, it is also very valuable to go back to the white-collar workers who return to the motherland.

Method 3: Enhance academic experience

If you say that you don't want to leave Canada, is there a way to score points? Have!

With two or more certificates, diplomas, degrees scores higher than the single degree, in addition to the direct bonus of the degree, there are extra points in the cross-score. So, if you only have one degree, then choose to read a one-year government-approved certificate or diploma program, which is also a good way to effectively score points!

But the premise of using this trick is that you currently only have a degree or diploma. If you already have two degrees, you can't use this trick.

Method 4: Get Provincial Nomination

Friends can also choose their own provincial nominee projects, and the province's nominated international students are mainly divided into two categories:

1. Provincial Nominated Express Lane Express Entry: Applicants in this category must first meet certain immigration categories under the ExpressEntry category. You must first create a file in the federal EE system. After the provincial nomination is approved, an additional 600 points will be automatically obtained. Add points; then upload the required files in the EE system, the basic process is electronic files;

2. Provincial nominations for traditional pathways: For example, the Masters category in Ontario does not require a federal EE system, as long as it meets the provincial nomination requirements for the project. After obtaining the provincial nomination certificate, the application is submitted to the federal government. The application for the federal part is still submitted by Paper Paper.

Applicants who meet the above criteria can be directly nominated by the provincial nomination (PNP) before they are invited to join the provincial nomination EE category. There is no need to implement the EE process if there is a provincial nomination but does not meet the above EE conditions.

Method 5: Obtain LMIA

The LMIA Work Market Impact Assessment is a long-term work invitation from a quality employer. LMIA is a certificate approved by the Canadian Department of Employment and Social Development (ESDC) (similar to the well-known Human Resources and Social Security Bureau in China). The conditions for review and is very strict.

 However, applicants who have obtained LMIA will immediately add 50 points to the EE score! It is also usually possible to quickly reach the immigration invitation score. However, it is not an easy task to get LMIA.

In summary, for each applicant's own different situation, you should find a way to improve your own, rather than blindly follow the trend.
