Canada Express Entry had its new drew on September 4^th. The lowest score is 463. 3600 people had been invited.

As can be seen from the figure above, since 2019, EE invitation scores have fluctuated but still been showing an overall steady upward trend. If you had 440 or above in 2018, you were highly likely to be invited. However in 2019, 450 may not be invited. 450 is a dangerous score. Except the May 15^th draw 332 (that is a targeted invitation) and January draw 438, the other EE draws in 2019 have remained above 450.The highest score was 470 at the end of May.

A person graduated from University with one-year work experience and 8777 in Ielts scored only 462 in EE system!

How to get high marks in EE system?

1. Improving the language is the fastest way to improve the EE score. Try your best to study English and take ielts exams. Even if you increase ielts score by 0.5, the little improvement affects your final EE score. 1 rise in ielts sub-test marks could add 14 to final EE score. It is better to reach 8777 in ielts that means your listening is 8, and the other 3 sub-tests, reading, writing, speaking are 7. Thus, all the four sub-tests reach CLB 9.

2. Try to upgrade your education level. Earning dual degrees is another way. 8-month graduate certificate courses are good choices.

3. Accumulate Canadian work experience.( One-year Canadian work experience worth 40 while non-Canadian work experience does not generate scores directly.)

3. Enter EE pool while you were young.( Before 30 years old, you earn 110 highest age points. As the time passing by, good English won’t help your overall score to reach an ideal level.

In general, EE system would like to select people who are young, highly educated, proficiency in English and have Canada-related education background and work experience.

Two high-score examples:

1. Ms. A: Canadian bachelor degree; age: 29, ielts: 8777, one-year Canadian work experience. score: 482.

2. Ms. B: bachelor degree in Canada, age 29, ielts 8777, one-year Canadian work experience, score 487.
