The Manitoba Immigration Bureau issued a message on the official website on February 27, and sent a provincial nomination invitation letter to 217 immigration candidates. This is Manitoba's second invitation to candidates in the MPNP Skilled Workers category in February. Manitoba has issued 242 invitations to candidates in the Skilled Workers category on February 13.
These invitation letters are called "Letters of Advice to Apply" (abbreviated as LAAs) and are given to Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, Skilled Workers Overseas stream and International Education stream) Channel immigration candidates.
All three channels are part of the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP), which allows Manitoba to nominate immigrant candidates with the skills required by local employers to apply to become permanent residents of Canada. In the invitation on February 13, the number of "application proposals" for these three channels was distributed as follows:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 161
Skilled Workers Overseas-Strategic Recruitment Initiative: 24
International Education Stream: 32
As for the minimum score of the invited candidates:
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 499
Skilled Workers Overseas-Strategic RecruitmentInitiative: 707
It is particularly worth seeing. In the Skilled Workers category, the invitation score for Skilled Workers in Manitoba has dropped overall, especially the invitation on February 27, which is the lowest point in the year so far and has broken the 500-point mark. Candidates in this category, as long as they have graduated from Manitoba for at least one year and have worked in the local Occupations in Demand industry for half a year (no need to be related to the major they study) will meet the current minimum job requirements for this pathway.

In the two invitations in February 2020, the MPNP of Manitoba has issued a provincial nomination invitation to a total of 459 immigration candidates.
